To all of you visiting La Salle for the first time this Millenium, you are not in "The Twilight Zone," but the cyber
version of good ole' La Salle School, a.k.a. "Maybe I'm having a mid-life crisis because I miss you people." Maybe that's
what I should have called the site...but we'll stick with what we've got here.
Those wonderful childhood days at La Salle School; growing up in New Orleans, and the people I knew who
played such an important role in my life, as I am sure yours. Those very young and very impressionable days,
gave us our first experiences of love, friendship, and our own ideas of what the world was like, or should be like.
The idea for this site all started with an email from Kathy Stout who asked if I remembered her...Of course, I remembered
you, Kathy...I thought you didn't remember me! With my thoughts back in "Nawlins" anyway, it would cement the
notion of having a La Salle classmate reunion. Since many of the people we grew up with have moved on
to other parts of the country I felt this to be the best way to reconnect with all those great kids! I hope
you are still a kid at heart and made it through that era with not too many dents and dings.
It was at La Salle School where we experienced our first crushes...where we all bonded and where we all
made our first best friends...where some of us thought the biggest problem in the world was getting through school
and making it to summertime.
Cheers to all of you who played such an important role in my life, just by being there, and just by being you.
It is to all of you that I raise my glass in a toast and fondly dedicate this site. It is with this in mind
that we move toward learning more about who we have become as adults. I hope you will enjoy this trip down
memory lane as I am very excited about the possibility of reunions ahead.
Those days as a kid were a wonderful time in my life. I'm not over it yet, and I hope you're not, either!
